November 4, 2009 -- For the first time, green-building professionals serving Oklahomans will have a reliable resource guide for finding local product manufacturers and service providers. In addition, organizations selling sustainable building products and services will now be able to reach a wide range of decision-makers in search of local green businesses throughout the state of Oklahoma as well as states like Texas, Kansas, Arkansas, and Missouri.
Build-it-Green is a handy resource for the busy building professional that may not have the time or staff to research a variety of green building categories. Anyone interested in certifying their next project through the LEED Green Building Rating System, the National Association of Homebuilder's Green Building Standard or Green Globes will want to have this quick-reference on their bookshelf and in their briefcase. Build-it-Green is the brainchild of Lorrie A. Hoefling, President of Build-it-Green LLC and Chair of the U.S. Green Building Council's Oklahoma Chapter. A portion of the profits from every ad placed in Build-it-Green will be donated to the U.S. Green Building Council, a non-profit 501(c)(3) to support their social and environmental service, and educational programs. This annual resource guide will be distributed throughout the region via green building conferences, educational workshops, seminars, and community organizations dedicated to fundamentally rethinking the role of the building delivery process.
